It’s estimated that 95% of our brain’s activity is unconscious, meaning that the majority of the decisions we make, the actions we take, our emotions, and behaviours happen outside our conscious awareness.
This means:
Do you find yourself operating on auto-pilot a lot of the time? Rushing from one thing to the next without much time to think about the direction you’re going?
How often do you take time out of your day or week to truly ENVISION the life you are creating?
Because, in every moment, you are creating your life.
I love vision board exercises to help me feel clear on what I want my life to look like. You can make this board on Pinterest, in your journal, or even in your mind. Dream big when you are creating your vision board. The point is to feel a bit uncomfortable; this doesn’t have to feel realistic right now.
When you feel sticky on a theme you may notice a lot of resistance and thoughts like, “this is not going to be possible”. These moments are an opportunity to uncover limiting beliefs that are keeping you stuck and unable to access the life your heart truly desires.
I suggest choosing one of these “sticky beliefs” and send it love, thank it, write it a letter to help you acknowledge it for its original purpose (which was probably to keep you safe) and release it, saying, “I no longer need you and am choosing this new thought”.
Like any personal development exercise, this is a process and just one baby step in the right direction. Success is a million baby steps in the right direction.
Direction is more important than speed. You can go fast in the wrong direction.
Maybe you’ve never made a vision board.
Never dreamed.
Never given yourself permission to imagine what it is that you truly desire.
(Not what others want or what you “should” do).
If you’re having trouble getting started, just let yourself DAYDREAM (I think daydreaming is underrated). Nothing is off-limits. What does the full expression of you look and feel like? What is she wearing? What is she spending her time on? What is her sense of purpose?
That is what this is about: learning how to start to take steps closer to HER.
You are worthy of your dreams, at any age.
